We all have our favorite pair of jeans — mine were inky waxed-denim Rag & Bone skinnies with a zipper at the ankle. I had to remove them from my (admittedly paltry) denim rotation after they suffered an irreparable rip in the crotch area. It was a sad day, and I still miss them terribly one year later. Now, though, guys can break the cycle, thanks to Commonwealth Proper‘s new Denim Service.

The Rittenhouse-based custom menswear studio, which is known for its impeccable bespoke suiting, is dipping its toe into casual wear with the service. How it works: Bring in a pair of your favorite jeans and they’ll make you an exact duplicate. Don’t have a go-to pair? You can work with the team to create a bespoke pattern. And there’s no shortage of denim: They source everything from Japanese selvedge to two-percent stretch. Make an appointment here

Finally, a plea: Someone start this service for women. I could use a pair of, say, black waxed-denim skinnies. With zippers at the ankle.

The Details: “Copy” jeans or completely bespoke pairs start at $625.
