Let’s get this out of the way: This is a post telling you to buy tickets to Philly Mag Shops. BUT! Don’t write it off as a shameless plug quite yet. (Hear me out first and then you can write it off as a shameless plug.)  I wouldn’t steer you wrong, and I certainly wouldn’t put Shoppist’s great name on any event that I wouldn’t go to myself. And this event is awesome—if I do say so myself.

Here’s the deal: We’ve hand-picked over 30 local boutiques and designers to gather at Crane Arts on Sunday, October 5th. And they’ll all be selling new, in-season merchandise at up to 40 percent off. (The breakdown: All apparel is 40 percent off, all jewelry is 25 percent off, and everything else (shoes, bags, scarves, home goods, etc) is 30 percent off. It’s basically the sale of the century.

This year, the shops are all some of my favorites in the area (and I’m talking about a wide area—we have stores from the Main Line to Bucks County to South Jersey, and of course, all over the city).  Click here to see the full list of shops—some you might remember from last year’s event, and some are fabulously new (newbies this year include Style Camp, Jade’s Closet, Tish, Element Six, John Wind and Bario Neal). Oh! And we even brought in a few home and gift shops, too, so you can stock up on home accessories and maybe even do a bit of pre-holiday shopping (look at you, organized shopper!). Omoi Zakka Shop will be there with all manner of gifty goods, and The Atelier will be selling her incredibly chic fashion stationery and prints.

And of course, we’ve got the mini beauty treatments (nail art, braids, makeup), drinks and food to round out the day. (And, those of you who come, you can see me in my natural element—ravenously shopping, pushing my endlessly patient husband aside to grab that last 40-percent-off Alexander Wang vest-coat.)

So, convinced yet? Buy tickets here, and I’ll see you there!
