You’ve likely been to a number of wedding showers for friends and family members, and they often have a few key elements. You open gifts, you eat and drink, you play some games. But maybe the standard format isn’t for you. That’s why we’ve put together a list of unique and creative ways to celebrate with your group. Check them out below!

Present Moment

The spot: Boxbar, Old City
The shower: Bedazzle custom swag for the ultimate squad photos. Choose from “base products” like denim jackets or backpacks, pick your favorite patches and embellishments, then let Boxbar’s design pros help you create your personalized craft. You’ll need to bring your own food and drinks.
The details: Pricing varies depending on base objects but starts at $50 per person for private rentals of two hours.

Clay Time

The spot: The Clay Studio, Kensington
The shower: Get your hands dirty by designing a multi-purpose piece of pottery during your private session. Explore the fundamentals of making pots in Intro to Wheel Throwing, or learn how to shape mugs, tiles and more in the Hands On Clay Workshop, which is led by a pro artist.
The details: The Clay Studio hosts two-hour classes for a group of three to 40 people for $50 per person, or a $400 minimum.

Best Buds

The spot: Posh & Bloom, Jenkintown
The shower: Discover the art of floral design while bonding with your besties. Before your Create & Sip class begins, you’ll select your fave flowers, colors and design styles. You’ll bring the bevvies and food — unless you opt for add-ons like catering, a bartender and custom decor.
The details: Host the two-hour party at your home or the Posh & Bloom studio for groups of six to 24 guests for $75 per person.

The details: Opt for a large workshop for parties of six or more at a location of your choice, starting at $55 per person. Classes run two hours.

Burning Love

The spot: Wax + Wine, Old City
The shower: Create a candle alongside all your favorite people. Your party’s instructors guide you through every step, from exploring the two scent cellars stocked with 50 fragrances to choosing the right vessel. You’ll bring the snacks, and they’ll serve the sips from in-house wine bar 2nd Pour thanks to a partnership with Allegro Winery.
The details: Packages are available for 11 to 70 people, with reserved seating from 90 to 120 minutes. Pricing varies.
