Come See the Winning Design in the 12th Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest

Each year, we wait with baited breath to see the results of the annual toilet paper wedding dress contest. Really! The event, which is presented by Cheap Chic Weddings and Charmin, never ceases to amaze usthe incredible gowns that these budding designers craft completely out of toilet paper are so intricate and creative, we always find ourselves wondering if the participants somehow managed to sneak some fabric swatches into their designs.

The 12th annual contest wrapped up last week at the Sanctuary Hotel in New York City (hotel owner Hank Freid was one of the judges) and the winner, Van Tran of Brooklyn, took home the top prize for the elaborate mermaid gown she designed. Just wait until you catch a glimpse of this dress—it’s hard to believe it’s made of Charmin (plus the permitted binding materials of glue, tape and a needle and thread)!
