Brendan Hurley is a 29-year-old dude from Arlington, Virginia who is getting married to the love of his life this coming Memorial Day. The only thing that could make it better, he says? If John Stamos/Uncle Jesse would agree to be one of his groomsmen.

Yes, like many a high school girl before him asking a celeb to be her prom date (or an engaged couple looking for an autograph by way of inviting a celeb to their wedding), Brendan has put out the plea that Mr. Stamos join him at the altar. He’s even launched a blog and a Twitter account to this effect.

Why, you ask? It’s simple, really, says Brendan: “Look at the guy, he’s amazing,” Hurley told Fox 5 in New York. “It would just be hilarious.” His quest to have Uncle Jesse stand next to him as he says his vows is even involving some of Brendan’s friends: He’s got a $20 bet with Nate that Stamos is going to show up, and RJ (poor RJ) has been put on notice that he is only going to be a groomsman if Stamos doesn’t show up.

I have to say, I agree with Brendan. Uncle Jess is amazing, and it would be hilarious. We will wait with baited breath to see how this one plays out.
