A couple of weeks back, we shared with you a few must-read tips for planning a bachelorette party without completely losing your mind. (You know, create a budget, delegate tasks, sense out the bride’s expectations, etc., etc.—it is possible!) And if that wasn’t enough to help you keep the peace and maintain your sanity, well now we’re basically hand-delivering you a fantastic option that will make hosting the whole shebang that much easier.

Introducing Philadelphia’s first ever Sunset Wine Cruise, courtesy of Old City’s Pinot Boutique.

If you’ve never been, Pinot is a wine enthusiast’s dream shop, filled with varietals from local area vineyards, plus every little knick knack and accessory you could ever need to store, serve, and preserve your favorite bottle. And, they throw killer parties right inside the shop—whether it’s a bachelorette, birthday, or corporate event—complete with exclusive use of their cellar, guided tastings, and, of course, plenty of wine to boot.

Now Pinot owner Dan “The Wine Man” Soskin is taking his expertise to the water—the Delaware River, to be exact—by teaming up with Patriot Harbor Lines to create a summertime series of wine tours through the Philadelphia harbor.

Aboard a new ship dubbed The Patriot, Soskin and his crew will take ten separate trips from May 24 through October 10, each consisting of a one-hour wine class and tasting followed by an hour to mingle and enjoy the view (and sip). Each voyage, which fits 30-35 people, has a theme (think “Bubbilicious: The World of Sparkling Wines” and “Pairing Wine and Cheese”), with ticket prices ranging from $45-$75.

Sound like something you and your ‘maids would love? We thought so. Check out Pinot’s website for the full cruise schedule, or if your party prefers a private tour, give them a call and they can arrange a special trip in your honor. Bon voyage!
