Ok, so maybe, maybe I thought that Miss Piggy and Kermit were already married (am I alone here? Anyone? Bueller?), but apparently, all along they have been in some sort of committed longterm Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell situation, and are really just bf/gf.

And as such, well, tying the knot is something that Miss Piggy has always wanted for her future—and reports are, that in the upcoming Muppet movie Muppets Most Wanted, she just might finally get her man (er, frog).

From USA Today:

“Vivienne Westwood is fabulous—just like moi,” Miss Piggy is quoted saying in a statement from Disney Studios on Tuesday. “When I asked her to design this wedding dress for moi’s new movie Muppets Most Wanted, she was thrilled and I was thrilled. The only one a bit ‘iffy’ about it was the Frog.”

(Mental note: Start working “moi” into more conversations.)

Now, I have some concerns about how this all turns out, considering some parallels I am drawing between this whole thing and Carrie Bradshaw’s would-be big-to-do wedding in the first Sex and the City movie—grand Vivienne Westwood wedding dress, very longterm relationship previous to engagement, historically comittment-phobe groom—but here’s hoping we have a happy ending—and a new iconic American wedding to love—come the movie’s premier on March 21st.
