Bride-to-be Blogger Leslie: Hair & Makeup Trials!

This past weekend, another exciting part of the wedding planning process took place: I went to my official hair and make-up trials! I was lucky enough to be able to plan them back-to-back, so I could really get a good idea of what I will look like — from the neck up — on the Big Day.

One of my bridesmaids, Aileen, who works for L’Oreal Paris in New York City, attended both trials with me. She is my beauty guru, so I couldn’t imagine not having her by my side for support and advice.

I hate to say it, but I am usually a pretty picky person. I can remember going out to get my hair and make-up done for high school dances and it would be filled with lots of drama and re-dos, which would end up with me rushing to get ready and stressing out! This weekend, my wedding hair and make-up trials were so easy. I trust and respect both people in charge of my overall beauty look for the Big Day — and they know what they are doing, so it makes it easier for me! (Plus, I’ve already had a mini makeup “trial” with my friend Meredith, where I figured out the light, natural look I like — and have also gathered tons of photos for hair inspiration.)

This past week was also a big week in my wedding planning process, not only because I got my hair and make-up tested out, but because Charles and I celebrated 30 days until the wedding! I can’t believe in less than a month I will be a Mrs.!

What are your thoughts/advice for wedding hair and make-up? Did you do a trial before your Big Day? If you’re already married, did it turn out the way you wanted it to?
