Peak fall foliage is officially upon us: Swaths of crispy autumnal tones are spreading across the city landscape, and we are loving it.

If you’re planning a seasonal hike or a trip to an apple orchard or pumpkin patch, you might want to make it happen soon. Pennsylvania leaves are currently experiencing their most vivid colors of the season — but peak fall foliage in our region will only last about a week, according to the Pennsylvania DCNR’s Bureau of Forestry. The agency offers helpful weekly leaf-peeping reports (which include maps of peak color, of course).

Below, you’ll find a few photos that showcase Philly’s fall foliage perfectly. They’ll probably inspire you to get outdoors — perhaps even to explore a Philly-area hike near a brewery.
