Nah, not the pickup games he plays with assorted kids and not-so-kids in South Philly. And not the soccer chops he showed off in that World Cup commercial. (Though he was very happy when Les Blues won.) And does he give a fig that the Sixers didn’t snag a big-shot free agent this off-season? No, he does not. He’s been over in Paris, having the time of his life, partyin’ at the Pyramid and generally, as he always does, teaching us something about how important it is to have that certain, how does one say it, Joel de vivre. How lucky are we to have him? Very. Shanghai, here he comes!
