Another Philadelphia High School was under lockdown today after reports of a weapon inside the building.

Police gathered outside of Thomas Edison High School, located on the corner of Luzerne Street and North 2nd Street.

Philadelphia Police spokeswoman Officer Christine O’Brien said that the school received a call this morning stating that there was a weapon inside the building. The type of weapon was unknown. As of now, nothing has been found, and the lockdown was reportedly lifted around noon.

This is be the fourth school lockdown in the city this year. Including one on Tuesday at Kensington’s Urban Education Academy due to the apparent theft of a school officer’s gun.

Earlier this year, there were lockdowns at Ben Franklin High School and Simon Gratz High School. So far, no injures have been reported.
