It’s not about to take away the sting of that loss to the Lions. It’s not going to make up for signing Miles Austin, or trading for Sam Bradford, or decimating the offensive line. It’s not going to change our perception that he’s haughty and supercilious and maybe a bit of a sociopath. (Remember when Brandon Boykin said Chip hardly even talks to his players?) Still, it was beyond satisfying when the Great and Powerful Chip pulled aside the curtain and admitted this week that he screwed up the LeSean McCoy trade by not speaking to Shady personally about the decision. Here, let’s read those magic words again: “He is this team’s all-time leading running back here and he felt like he was disrespected.
