Report: Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter Found With New Jersey Convict

We were relieved that Rosie O’Donnell’s daughter was alive after she was reported missing, but new reports indicate that the child of the lesbian star was found with a convict from New Jersey that she met on Tinder.

A report in the Daily Mail indicates that 17-year old Chelsea was found in the Barnegat Township, New Jersey home of 25-year old Steve Sheerer. The article indicates that “Sheerer…first told officers she was not inside the property, but he was known to police officers who knew they could not accept his word at face value. Patrolman Nicholas Dapuzzo entered the property and found the teenager, wearing a black zip up hoodie, white shirt and jean shorts, huddled in the attic with her dog.”

Officer Dapuzzo told the Daily Mail that Chelsea “was a little apprehensive. It was written on her face that she didn’t want to go. I told her she was a juvenile and she needed medical attention and she needed to come with me…I wouldn’t say he was a boyfriend, more of an acquaintance. She stayed there a few nights and she had stayed elsewhere, but she wouldn’t tell me where.”

Entertainment Tonight confirms that Sheerer was charged with third-degree possession of heroin with intent to distribute and endangering the welfare of a child. He reportedly pleaded guilty to child endangerment, was given probation for possession of heroin and served 53 days in jail in 2013.

In an added twist, Chelsea’s biological mother, Deanna Micoley, told Radar Online that Chelsea “wanted to meet her just days before she disappeared…Text messages obtained by the site show that Rosie seemed to encourage a relationship between her daughter and Micoley, and only grew angry when the woman claimed that Rosie had adopted Chelsea using fraudulent means.”
