Here’s Video of Philly DA Seth Williams Dirty Dancing

Make that "Skinny" Seth Williams.

Ten days ago, we shared video with you of Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter showing off his dance moves at a GlaxoSmithKline event, where the company was announcing $5 million in grants to local non-profits. Well, new video has surfaced showing Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams dancing at a charity event, and suffice to say that Williams makes Nutter look like Pee-Wee Herman.

Williams broke out his dancing shoes in honor of Dancing for Our Future Stars, a benefit for Independence Mission Schools. The DA’s partner was local dance pro and Temple master’s student Katie Miccarelli, and “(I’ve Had) the Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing was their song of choice.

Our DA didn’t win. The top award went to criminal defense attorney Nino Tinari and Renée DeJohn Renzi. Williams was also bested by a local nun.

But if there were an award for Most Dramatic Physical Transformation, the now-svelte Williams would have won it. According to his spokesperson, Williams has dropped 53 pounds since the fall. Here he is demonstrating both his best moves and his new body:

Kids from The DePaul Catholic School and St. Veronica’s School also had a chance to wow the crowd with their ballroom skills:

The event raised over $270,000 for Independence Mission Schools, which manages 15 Catholic elementary schools in Philadelphia and serves 4,700 students.
