Report: Man Commits Robbery With Blood-Filled Syringe

Incident took place early Saturday in Kensington.

Well, this is gross. Police say a man committed robbery early Saturday in Kensington — armed only with a blood-filled syringe. The incident happened at 1:30 a.m. inside Eddie’s Chinese Restaurant, in the 100 block of E. Allegheny Avenue.

Police say a 32-year-old female was ordering food at the restaurant after work when she was approached by a man. According to police, the suspect pointed a blood-filled syringe at the victim and said in Spanish,“ I have AIDS, give me your money.”

The victim threw $200 at the suspect and the man took off in an unknown direction, police say. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30-35 years old, 5’10”, with a dark complexion.
