Tom Corbett Humor Rating Falls to All-Time Low

The Daily News has an item today about a recent incident in which Tom Corbett refused to take a call from state store employees union leader Wendell Young IV while appearing on the Dom Giordano show…discussing liquor privatization. Apparently he was upset, among other things, that Young IV gave someone the finger during a heated discussion of the plan. His intel? This PA Politics April Fools’ joke.

Corbett strikes me as an impressively humorless man. But it takes a extraordinary amount of literal-mindedness to interpet this as a real news item. In Corbett’s defense, however, the idea of Wendell Young IV flipping the bird isn’t surprising at all. Remember this outburst? [Daily News]
