Richie Sambora Skipping Bon Jovi Tour

CBS Philly reports that Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora is skipping the current leg of the band’s tour due to “personal issues”—the report notes: “The 53-year-old has struggled with substance abuse and has done several stints in rehab.” Which means that Bon Jovi will essentially be Jon Bon Jovi and some other guys, playing their unique brand of Jersey-inflected 80s-adult-contemporary-lite-metal—but without the heart that Sambora provides. That’s bad, bad medicine.
