Return of the Poop Deck: Another Cruise Ship Mess in the Caribbean

Why do people insist on taking cruises? In 2011, the ship sank in Italy. In February, the ship stank in the Gulf of Mexico. And this month, it’s more of the same. Exactly a month after the Carnival Cruise from Hell left people using plastic baggies as toilets, the ocean liner is back with Carnival Cruise from Hell II, docked in the eastern Caribbean.

Some choice quotes from scarred passengers.

“There’s human waste all over the floor in some of the bathrooms and they’re overflowing.”

“We are not allowed off of the boat despite the fact that we have no way to use the restrooms on board.”

And my favorite, from the U.S. Coast Guard:

“We have spoken to the captain and right now, the decision has been made to have the passengers remain aboard the ship for accountability purposes.”

Accountability! Now, that’s rich.
