Bar Brawl at W Hotel During Pennsylvania Society Weekend

If you were wondering where Philadelphia’s most rich and powerful were hanging out the past few days, they were at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City for the annual Pennsylvania Society events. Apparently, some of the festivities spilled over to the bar at the W Hotel, where, according to the Inquirer, a fight broke out between “a group of Republicans and a man who was out with some members of the powerful Local 98 electricians union.” After some pushing, shoving and a few punches, the revelers were told to take their party elsewhere. Local 98 spokesman Frank Keel made sure to tell the paper that the man in question was not a Local 98 member. Meanwhile, Local 98 head John “Johnny Doc” Dougherty was spotted at the PA Society in a spiffy, slim gray suit posing for photos with PR firm partners Barbara Grant and Luz Cardenas. [Inquirer]
