Atlantic City, Casinos Reopen After Hurricane Sandy

Governor Chris Christie lifted the mandatory evacuation notice in Atlantic City, allowing people back into the town for the first time since Hurricane Sandy hit. He also announced that casinos would be able to open for gaming at 10 a.m. on Friday.

“The Director has indicated that a complete review and assessment of the status and condition of each casino property, including the casino floors, its equipment, surveillance, security and gaming related computer systems have been completed,” said Governor Christie in a statement. [6 ABC]
