Cops Say Teen Councilman Destroyed Crops on Drunken Joyride

Kyle Bower—the teenage borough councilman from Lehigh County that was sworn in the same day he pleaded guilty to a slew of charges after throwing a brick through his ex-girlfriend’s window and slipping out of handcuffs after his arrest—is in trouble with the law, again. Police say that the 19-year-old from Alburtis stole some signs from a yard on October 4th and drove his car through a soybean field. They say he abandoned his car when it got stuck, leaving behind two empty beer bottles. The felony agricultural crop destruction charge could land him in prison for 10 years. Really. He also faces charges of underage drinking and agricultural vandalism. [NBC Philadelphia]
