Biden Will Tell You Later Why America Is Better Off Than It Was Four Years Ago

Proving there’s no Reagan-era theme that today’s Republicans won’t revive, this week’s big political question appears to be this: “Are you better off than you were four years ago?” It’s a bet that—with unemployment still hovering over 8 percent—lots of Americans will decide to cast their lot with Mitt Romney. Vice President Joe Biden—Scranton-born, Delaware bred—has a different answer. “America is better off today than they left us when they left,” he said, presumably referring to the George W.
