Center City Press Prints Playboy for the Blind

The Associated Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired has a nonprofit braille book factory in Center City. The press churned out 13 million pages of braille in the last fiscal year. Popular magazines like PC World, Seventeen and, yes, even Playboy (without the pictures) are scanned, automatically converted into braille, and printed in a one-floor operation near 9th and Walnut.
