Dark Knight Massacre Suspect Charged With 24 Counts of Murder

James Holmes—the 24-year-old man suspected of killing 12 and wounding 58 others when he allegedly opened fire on a crowded theater in Aurora, Colorado earlier this month—has been formally charged with 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder. Monday marked Holmes’ second court appearance, though, this time, the court barred cameras from the proceedings. Holmes faces the death penalty if convicted. [Politico]
