Colorado Shooting Suspect Appears in Court

James Holmes—the man who reportedly killed 12 people and injured another 58 when he opened fire in an Aurora theater during a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises—made his first appearance in court on Monday. Holmes didn’t say anything as a judge informed him of his charges. Apparently Holmes won’t cooperate with authorities and the local district attorney says that it could be a full year before the case makes it to trial. Holmes still has orange hair after reportedly telling police that he was The Joker upon being arrested. [USA Today]
