Phillies Announcer Scott Franzke Drops F-Bomb, Can’t Believe the Team Can’t Get Scott Hairston Out

On July 4th—and basically every other game, ever—New York Met Scott Hairston killed the Phillies. The guy is a lifetime .244 hitter who’s batting .324 with five homers against the Phils. He’s simply the latest in the line of Phillie killers to earn the frustration of the city. Phillies announcer Scott Franzke isn’t immune to that frustration, either, as he so poetically expressed after Hairston’s fourth inning home run off of Cliff Lee during the July 4th game.
