Archdiocese to Announce Fate of More Suspended Priests [UPDATE]
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is expected to announce this afternoon the fate of some of the priests that were suspended last year amid the sexual abuse allegations. Back in May, Archbishop Charles Chaput announced the fates of nine of the suspended priests. Three of those priests were reinstated. Of priests originally suspended last year, seventeen have yet to learn their fates. [Inquirer]
UPDATE: The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced that two of the priests have been deemed “unsuitable” and that four of the priests can return to work. The fates of the remaining 11 are still unknown. [NBC Philadelphia]
