Suspects in Old City Beating Death to Stand Trial for Third-Degree Murder

Back in January, 23-year-old Temple grad Kevin Kless was beaten to death shortly after last call in Old City. Today, a judge ruled that the three men suspected of killing Kless will stand trial on charges of third-degree murder. The prosecution had argued for a general murder charge so that the jury could decide the intent of the killers. Instead, the men will face 20-40 years in prison if convicted on the manslaughter charges. [Inquirer]
