State Senate to Vote on New Budget, Restorations to School Funding

Today, the Pennsylvania Senate will vote on a new budget that would restore many of the funding cuts included in Governor Tom Corbett’s original proposal. The new budget is expected to pass and would restore cuts to funding for state-owned universities and three state-related schools in exchange for a pledge that the universities will not implement a tuition hike higher than the rate of inflation.
