Who Cares What Gamble and Huff Think About Whitney Houston?

I was very sad to hear about the death of Whitney Houston, as were a lot of other people based on the outpouring of emotion (or at least YouTube links) on Facebook and Twitter. Philadelphia International Records founders Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, who tend to shy away from the media, decided to send out a press release. But the presser made it clear that they barely knew Houston, as evidenced by the release’s headline: Gamble & Huff Wrote and Produced Hits with the Late Linda Creed, Who Later Wrote Houston’s #1 Smash, “Greatest Love of All.” That’s right. Gamble & Huff worked with a woman who worked with Whitney Houston. And, well, that’s just fame-whoring.
