NJ Court Says if You Want Nudity, Try New York or Pennsylvania
The highest court in the state of New Jersey has ruled that the town of Sayreville can opt to close a strip club. That wouldn’t terribly important news by itself. But, the ruling was issued on the grounds that Sayreville can suggest that customers can opt to take advantage of similar businesses in Staten Island, New York. Justice Barry Albin said that the New Jersey Supreme Court is, “the first in the nation to suggest a state can geographically restrict constitutionally protected expression within its borders, in part, by offering a neighboring state as an alternative.” [FOX 29]
