Sixers Trade Season Tickets for Twitter Handles

The Sixers released three candidates for the position of team mascot. But, they didn’t take the time to secure Twitter handles for B. Franklin Dogg or Phil E. Moose before announcing their candidacies to the public. Two Sixers fans registered the handles on Twitter and began tweeting as the hypothetical, fictional team representatives. The team caught wind of the tweets and asked the guys to turn over the handles (while not so subtly hinting at possible legal action). Alas, the young men behind the two mascots were able to negotiate a trade and handed over their handles and passwords in exchange for a pair of season tickets and box seats for the Sixers home opener. Ain’t bad, fellas. [The 700 Level]
