Wow. Apparently the Phillies tried to talk former closer and “rat” Billy Wagner out of retirement this off-season. Wagner was such a city favorite that it is hard to imagine how the fan base will be able to stomach watching Jonathan Papelbon go out there, do his job, and not complain to the media for the next few years.
