Bills Approved to Stop Parents from Leaving Their Kids in Cars While Gambling
In laws-we-shouldn’t-need-to-pass news, a House committee in Harrisburg approved two bills related to the spree of incidents in which parents left their kids alone in cars in casino parking lots while they went inside to gamble. The legislation would make it criminal to leave a child under the age of 14 unattended in a car that’s on property controlled by a casino. So, take heed and remember that if you need to leave your children to roast in the car while you go play slots, then you should park a couple blocks away from the casino to avoid criminal prosecution.
