UPenn’s Double Hand Transplant
Surgeons at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania completed a double hand transplant on a young woman a few weeks ago. The surgery took over 11 hours, but the team of surgeons was successfully able to give the woman new hands. The woman has been able to move the hands but won’t be able to use the fingers for approximately one year. [CBS 3]
