Penn to Unveil Chuck Bednarik Statue

Prior to Penn’s final home game at Franklin Field this season, a ceremony will mark the dedication of a statue honoring legendary Quaker and Hall of Fame Eagle Chuck Bednarik. The statue will be unveiled on November 19th and will be erected just inside Gate 2 of Franklin Field where “Concrete Charlie” played four years of college ball and then again called the stadium home when the Eagles moved into the building in 1958.
