Miss Richfield 1981 Loves Philly

The wacky drag performer will be singing our praises all summer in Provincetown

This summer, Miss Richfield 1981, a hilarious drag performer who’s a regular on the gay circuit from P-Town to “Rehomo,” is touting Philly as a first-class LGBT travel destination for the second year in a row. It’s all part of a contest sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) to spread the word about Philly’s gay-friendly tourism and to help lucky folks win a trip to town this fall.

Miss Richfield tells us Philly is “my home away from home. I always have fun in Philly and get such great support and love from everybody.”

She performs here June 11 (8 p.m.) at the Society Hill Playhouse before spending the summer in Provincetown on her trusty scooter through Labor Day. It’s there where she’ll be singing our praises at the famous Crown & Anchor and helping guests compete to win a free vacation to the City of Brotherly (and Sisterly) Love.

Confession: We once saw Miss Richfield take a dive right into the Crown & Anchor’s pool – in full drag.
