Diana & Scott

Diana & Scott Booren, June 20, 2008, Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, Philadelphia

“Wouldn’t it be cool if we got married one day?” That’s the first question Scott Booren proposed to Diana Gross back in the ninth grade, when they lived next door to each other — just before Diana’s family moved away. And after four years apart and then three years of dating at the University of Denver (which started mere days after freshman year began, of course), Scott proposed a second question to Diana while snowshoeing in Vail. Finally, this past June, the couple said their “I do’s” as their happy guests looked on in the sunny courtyard of Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. It was important to the Lafayette Hill couple that their ceremony and reception feel warm, bright and intimate — hence the 78-person guest list. “We wanted a garden-party feel,” says Diana. “So we chose bright and tropical colors, and just tried to bring the beauty of the courtyard into the ballroom.” And when the rain held off on that gorgeous June day, that’s exactly what they got.
