Highlight: Goodbye Harvest Season
Maybe New York puts on a bigger show, but we own the bragging rights of having the first Thanksgiving Day’s parade. Take that, Macy’s. Plant yourself along the Ben Franklin Parkway as Philly kicks off the holiday season with ginormous helium balloons, fantastic floats and more marchers than the Mummers. (If the traffic is going slow on Thursday, you can always watch it from home on channel 6.) Cecily Tynan and Dave Roberts host with special appearances from 17-year-old Jamaican singer and and rapper Sean Kingston, the cast of Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour and the Eagles Cheerleaders. And since this is the season of thanking and giving, the local boy scouts will be collecting canned goods for the 6ABC Holiday Food Drive. So give. They’ll thank you.
