Melissa and Glen Nathan design hardware with personality in their Southampton office — knobs, pulls and handles the shape of a wide-mouthed hippo or the texture of a dollop of caviar. When Melissa, a jewelry designer, started crafting exquisitely detailed castings of frogs and lizards for the couple’s Huntingdon Valley home in 1999, MNG Designer Hardware was born. Now kitchen and bath centers clamor for their organically inspired pieces. Personality-wise, Glen declares himself a potato type. “It’s rustic, yet refined,” he says.
