Breakfast and lunch spot Rose Petals Café will close its flagship location in Germantown following service on Christmas Eve. The restaurant opened at 322 West Chelten Avenue in 2013.

Owners Desmin and Jania Daniels said that they have plans to reopen in Germantown, and they’re currently scouting new locations in the area. The announcement comes not long after the couple opened a second Rose Petals Café in nearby Elkins Park back in September with the same menu of decadent waffles, brunch platters, soul food, sandwiches, and salads.

The Danielses will thank customers for five years of support on Monday, December 24th with a pay-what-you-can breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., with their sons Jalyn and Josiah running the waffle station.

Their Elkins Park location will remain open Tuesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. while the owners look for a new Germantown space.
