Check Out Metropolitan Cafe’s New Pizza Menu
They're adding extended dinner hours and delivery, too.
Metropolitan Cafe, the restaurant space next to the bakery’s flagship store on Rittenhouse Square, has taken a few months to renovate its kitchen and revamp its menu. And now, with a new oven direct from Italy in place, they’re slinging hot and fresh pies starting at 11 a.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
And since this is Metropolitan — one of the OG artisan bakers in the city — they mill locally sourced flour for their dough in house. The dough recipes will change seasonally, but for now, they’re starting with a flavorful blend of rye and heritage wheat.
Metro’s pizzas are made to order and available to eat in (you’re welcome to BYO) or take out. In April, they’ll offer delivery via Caviar and extend hours, too. Check out the opening menu below.
