Jezabel’s Studio, chef Jezabel Careaga’s miniature outpost at 208 South 45th Street, officially opens Wednesday, July 12th.

The 400-square-foot space combines some offerings from Careaga’s popular Argentinian cafe in Graduate Hospital with a retail space that will offer handmade kitchenwares from Argentina and her own woodcrafts, like cutting boards and small furniture, that she makes at Philly’s NextFab workspace. There’s seating for guests to enjoy French pressed coffee, tea, and a yerba mate that Careaga has created specifically for the shop. She’ll also offer bagged coffee beans from La Colombe.

Food-wise, she’s offering her alfajores, Argentinian shortbread cookies filled with dulce de leche and rolled in shaved coconut, as well as a selection of her signature empanadas, including a vegan option. The space is also equipped with a kitchen and six-seat chef’s counter, where Careaga can host intimate demonstrations.

As she does at the original Jezabel’s, Careaga — who lived nearby at 43rd and Pine Streets when she first moved to Philadelphia — will host a monthly pop-up Bar de Pinchos, a night for guests to BYOB and enjoy small snacks she’s prepared.

Jezabel’s Studio will be open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 7 a.m. Check out the full menu below.
