Sour Bowl Is This Weekend

92 kegs of rare and fancy sours, stouts and ciders will be tapped for the event.

Hey beer nerds, guess what this Sunday is?

Yes, it’s Sour Bowl–Teddy Sourias’s big, multi-bar event in which kegs upon kegs of expensive, hard-to-find, weird or rare sour beers, stouts and (new this year) ciders are tapped during one massive, seven-hour, three-bar celebration, all on Pro Bowl Sunday (January 29). Here’s how it’s all going to work.

Taps start pouring at BRU (1318 Chestnut Street) with Sour Bowl III at 11:00am, followed by Cider Bowl I at Cinder (1500 Locust) at 2:00pm, then crossing back over Broad to Stout Bowl II at U-Bahn (1320 Chestnut) at 4:00pm. At 6:00pm, look for ten bonus kegs to pour back up at BRU with a special Sour Bowl Overtime featuring Russian River.

All the beers will be priced between $7 and $10 and will be available (on a first come, first served basis) until the kegs are kicked.
