Franklin Square Has a Beer Garden
As part of this year’s Franklin Square Holiday Festival, events like Franklin Square Fridays, the Holiday Light Show and Ben’s Bites & Brews Beer Garden have all returned for the seasonal celebration.
The free Electrical Spectacle Holiday Light Show has more than 50,000 lights set to a soundtrack of holiday classics performed by the Philly Pops orchestra. The show begins every night at 4:30 p.m. and one guest gets the honor of flipping the switch to illuminate Franklin Square – which continues every half-hour until 8 p.m.
Ben’s Bites & Brews, the winter beer garden with German beers, hot drinks and fire pits, is open Thursday-Sunday evening until Christmas Eve, then will be open daily from Dec. 26th through the 31st.
This year, Brauhaus Schmitz curated authentic German beers from their very own beer hall, plus are offering mulled wine and spiked cider.
On Franklin Square Fridays, guests can enjoy special holiday-themed family fun nights and food trucks including Pbon’s Fresh Phood of Philly and Eat-A-Pita this Friday December 11th, as well as PB&Jams, Surf and Turf Truck, and Sweet Lavender next Friday December 18th.
