All The Best Stuff: Your Philly Beer Week Guide For Thursday, June 4
Okay, whatever. Even if I’m wrong, Thursday might just as well be Friday during Beer Week. Pretty much every day should just be Friday, but especially Thursday. And, you know, Friday.
Events? We have events for you. Three great ones–one for the food nerds, one for the beer geeks and one for people who just like murder mystery dinners (no, really).
Check out our three best picks for the night after the jump.
A Chinatown Pig Roast Sounds Like Just The Thing For A Thursday Night
A lot of restaurants have been roasting pigs during beer week. There have been a ton of cookouts, barbecues, taco nights and oysters slurped, too, but the whole pig thing? It’s pretty much becoming a staple of Beer Week food events. So if you’ve somehow managed to miss out on all the roasted pig this week, here’s your chance. Staring at 6:30pm, Bar-Ly in Chinatown will be roasting and butchering a whole pig–and they’re going to be doing it in the Chinese style. The pig is going to be free, but the beers (from Evolution, Great Lakes and Philadelphia Brewing) will cost you.
Funky Buddha at the Churchville Inn
The beer geeks obsess over this Florida brewery and it only comes to town once a year and this Philly Beer Week, only to the Churchville Inn in Churchville, PA. And for the 99% of you who don’t know where that is, it’s here.

Do People Seriously Go To These Murder Mystery Dinners?
Apparently, they do. The last one (during Philly Wine Week) sold out super-fast, so the crew from London Grill are doing it again. It’s called “A Murder In Paris & London.” The reception start at 6:15 tonight, the show promptly at 7pm, and tickets are $70 in advance and $80 at the door–which gets you into the show, a beer cocktail and a multi-course dinner with beer pairings. Talk to the folks at London Grill for reservations and more information.
