Dock Street Walker Returns
When trying to kill a zombie, “The Walking Dead” has taught us the importance of scoring a head shot. Otherwise those pesky zombies will keep coming back. That must be what happened at Dock Street Brewery, where their Dock Street Walker beer is making a return. The Pale American Stout brewed with roasted goat brains and organic cranberries is back in time for this weekend’s return of AMC’s “The Walking Dead.”
When the beer was released in March, the story of Dock Street Walker went viral, being picked up across the USA and the world. So this time the West Philadelphia brewery is going to be making more, and for the first time, making their beer available for online sales. Four-packs of 12-ounce bottles will be made available today, October 7th. Each four-pack will be priced at $18.
The brewery has been stocking up on Walker and is rolling it out for in-house bottle and drat sales as well as sending out a few kegs to local craft bars. Look for Walker to be available at the brewery on October 12th. when the brewery will open at noon for brunch, beer and Walker bottle sales. The day will end with a screening of the Walking Dead on the brewery’s 120″ projector screen.
More About Dock Street Walker:
Dock Street Walker (7.2% ABV) is an American Pale Stout, brewed with substantial amounts of malted wheat, oats and flaked barley for a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Fuggle hops provide delicate, earthy notes while the cranberries create a sinister bloody hue, adding a slight tartness. The pre-sparge-brain-addition provides this beer with intriguing, subtle notes of smoke.
