Handmade Hot Sauce Contest At Tattooed Mom

To start off a summer season full of crazy events that could end very badly the crew at Tattooed Mom is holding their first annual “Hotter Than Hell” Handmade Hot Sauce Contest. The competition, on Tuesday June 12th from 5 to 9 p.m., will feature 20 contestants vying for the ultimate title. The panel of judges for the competition includes Jen Zavala of Interstate Draft House, Collin Thompson of Barcade, Tony Baris the South Street tattoo artist and self-proclaimed hot sauce junkie, and Chubb Rock of Tattooed Mom.

The judges, if they can still feel their tongues after all that liquid heat, will name the winner and a People’s Choice winner will be picked by the masses. There is no admission charge for the crowd, but beef or vegetarian tacos for tasting are $1 and Tecate is $3. From 5 – 7 p.m. there will also be half-priced drafts. Cookie Confidential, Beautiful World Syndicate, The Bottle Shop, and Brave New World Comics will be providing the prize packs for the winners.

If you attend this madness just make sure you have 911 on speed dial, this could get messy.
