Shane Montgomery’s Parents Are Searching for Him Every Day

Three weeks since his disappearance after a night out in Manayunk, Shane Montgomery remains missing. The search continues.

It’s been three weeks since Shane Montgomery went missing after a night at Kildare’s in Manayunk, and his whereabouts are still unknown.

His mother told KYW 1060 she and her husband have not yet returned to work, and are searching for Montgomery every day. She says she wants a “resolution — I wouldn’t call it peace, but resolution.”

“I have a tough time getting out of bed every day, but I made a promise that I was going to find Shane. And I’m going to find him,” Shane’s mother, Karen Montgomery, told the station.

Family and friends of Montgomery are growing frustrated with the search. A merchant waited until just this week to pass along a surveillance video showing Montgomery walking in Manayunk.

“Well it’s aggravating that the nail salon had the video and didn’t contact the FBI until this week,” Shane’s roommate at West Chester, Ryan McGilloway, told Main Line Suburban Life. “But it points us in some kind of direction and brings us closer, even if it’s only slightly, to finding Shane.”

A fundraiser will be held Saturday at Marchiano’s Bakery on Umbria Street, with proceeds benefiting the family. For more on the search for Shane, visit this website.
