Byron Maxwell missed his second straight day of practice on Wednesday, but said he isn’t concerned about his right ankle sprain keeping him off the field on Sunday.

“No, I don’t think it will,” Maxwell said, when asked if it would bother him this weekend against the Cardinals.

The cornerback said he suffered the injury early in the Eagles’ win over the Bills this past weekend, when Ed Reynolds bumped into him in the end zone.

He had to have the ankle taped during the game.

“I was good. I wasn’t thinking about it,” Maxwell said of the injury. “I was thinking about how to stop [Sammy Watkins]. That’s not going to be an issue out there.”

However, Maxwell admitted his ankle’s swelling has bothered him. He added that he expects to practice on Thursday.

“I could barely walk yesterday,” he said. “But as the days go, and we get deeper into the week, I’m getting better. I can walk.”
